Item #17 - Multiple Licence Purchase [Closed - Resolved]

The PayPal purchase screen defaults to one licence but I wish to purchase more than one licence, how can the quantity be changed? In the "pays" country list, United Kingdom is not listed, so which country should I chose as I am in the UK?

Good evening,

A dedicated link has been added at the bottom of the payment page (see "You may also purchase multiple licenses" link). It allows you to set the number of computers on which ArecaVSS will be installed.

A single license file will be sent to you, which will be valid on multiple computers.

Hello again

Regarding the question related to the country - It seems that the UK are listed on Paypal country list (according to your question, it seems that your are viewing the page in french, so the name should be "Royaume Uni"

I purchased 6 licenses and have installed 4 with no problem. When I install the 5th and 6th licences and then run Areca I get the following error:-
Invalid ArecaVSS license:License file not found

I have installed the license in the correct directory (4 times sucessfuly).

You should see an error message like this in the "log" tab of Areca Backup :

... followed by the list of files that were found in the arecavss directory.
You should find the answer to your question in here (you probably copied the license file in another directory)

I can confirm that the license is in the correct directory
C:\Program Files\Areca\plugins\arecavss\arecavss.license
Now on PC's which I installed the first four licenses on, which worked OK initially, now have the same error message as the other two PC's.
Errors and Warnings :

So I now have no backup of open files.

Could you please post the list of files that is written in the log tab after " DETAIL - Content of C:\Program Files (x86)\Areca\plugins\arecavss " ?

There is no list of files above the line you mentioned. I'd be happy to email you the full log file, but I won't post it here on a public forum.

According to this message, you named the license file arecavss.license.xml instead of arecavss.license.

Please rename the file properly and it will work

OK I'll try that, but just so you know, I didn't rename it with the .xml extension, it extracted that way from the compressed file I downloaded.
